15:00 Memory: Review learn irregular past forms. Stick cards to white board (six rows of four). Write sentence starters for past and present. Play memory game. As someone gets pair, they use the words in a past-tense question. When done, leave them together in pairs, with definitions if necessary.
10:00 Sarah’s game. Write on board: What did you do? Two cards per student. Ask each other what they did that year. Take notes.
10:00 Write answers on board Discuss, vocab, verb tenses
5:00 #1 in workbook. Review verbs on right. Any you don’t know meaning of? I read them. They read them.
Read paragraph silently. Any words you don’t understand?
5:00 GA read directions. Play tape once. Ss fill in answers.
3:00 Play tape again. Ss silently check answers.
2:00 I read the cloze Ss call out answers Questions?
10:00 #2 in workbook. Review inx. Take turns reading questions and appointment book. Words you don’t understand?
5:00 Ask people to break into pairs and answer the six questions. Answer in past tense, writing answers on separate paper. Work together.
5:00 Call on pairs Read aloud their Q&A and then write answer on the board.
15:00 Norwegian Wood: Once with context and no words. Then hand out, look it over. What words don’t you know? Explain how I’ve made it easy then harder.  Write words on board. Listen again. Name verbs you heard. Predict. Fill in.
15:00 #3 in workbook: Inx to make up own questions about Mrs. Wilcox’ schedule. Write sample questions on board: Where did she go on Monday morning? What did she do yesterday afternoon? What bank did she go to on Monday? When did she go see a play? Each person ask a question and call on someone to answer.
10:00 #4 and handout. What did you dream about last night? Prompts on board: Where were you? Who was with you? What happened? Look at expressions in the past at bottom-right of page. Write in thought bubbles.
10:00 Swap papers. Explain that they will have to change “I” to “he” or “she.”
HOMEWORK: See attached. I will collect it next class.
BACK POCKET Listening comp: Draw who I describe. Anna? The draw. Guess which one(s) most closely match description.
Get volunteer to do a sequence of actions. (Coach them. Walk into room, turn on light, write on board. say hello…) Answer “what did he do first…?” etc. [Write answers on WB]
Change it game: Write a sentence in which they can change one word (on board). Last week the birds flew over the snowy mountain.
