What I Write in a 24-hour period

What I write in a 24-hour period

  • With my first cup of coffee, check e-mail and respond to any essential ones
  • Jot notes on ideas I may have for future e-mails or future blog postings
  • Start working on a homework assignment: writing a paper or lesson plan, transferring notes to my blog, etc.
  • While driving or otherwise out and about, scratch notes about sights and thoughts
  • Make lists of what I need to accomplish or what I need to buy
  • Write checks and address envelopes for bills; maybe wrap and address a package
  • At school, take notes on what teacher is presenting (using computer or paper)
  • Sometimes write a note to pass to another student, with an urgent comment
  • Sign bank card receipts for purchases at stores
  • Go back to old school blog entries and amend, correct or update them
  • At the library, scratch out call numbers for books
  • At home, take notes on readings
  • Write my wormlips blog
  • Sometimes update my Facebook status or reply to someone there
  • Type words into search engines or Amazon
  • Today: buying tickets to and from Mexico online, filling out vital stats and billing info
  • Respond to comments on my blog
  • Highlight and maybe jot notes in the margins of school or other readings
  • Scribble teach ideas on whatever paper is nearby when the ideas come to me
