Feedback to Older Adult Learning Presentation

This is my PowerPoint presentation on older-adult learning.

And here are comments from, first, my teacher and then my classmates:

Elizabeth

There was so much information that i wanted to spend more time on each slide. If you did this as a TESOL presentation, you would have 45 minutes and then the audience could interact with the slides and ask questions as you go along.

  • Excellent PowerPoint. Well developed with visuals, cartoons, gi [?]
  • Very important information that was easier to remember because of the visuals.
  • Great research and bibliography. Thanks!

Loved your topic and your personal flavor that you put into it! You’re very thorough and always fun to listen to. I learned some helpful things. Thank you! Great job!

You do (just as I do) go very fast when you’re presenting. Some of the international students need a minute or two just to read the cartoons you had (processing time) and some of us were taking notes. Trust yourself and the great work you do and know that we want to hear all you have to say!

It would be better if you can slow down the showing of the PPT slide. We want to have a bit more time to enjoy both the picture and the key words! Very interesting pictures and quite clear explanations. I learned valuable information from it. Thank you.

It was interesting presentation! Can you please slow down your pace of speaking so that the audience can follow you?

Well read. A very rich presentation full of good information. Too fast. She needed more time to cover that whole lot of new stuff she had for us.

I enjoyed your topic because I think it is often overlooked. I also liked the pictures and cartoons you had presented. One suggestion would be maybe to add your personal experiences and examples to the presentation.

Thank you very much.

  • It was very clear and detailed
  • I enjoyed the cartoons and the way you used them in your presentation
  • I was impressed by a [the] number of saurses [sources] you had to study for your 20-minute presentation.

I liked your presentation.

  • Well prepared
  • Well organized.
  • You had a clear picture of what you wanted to say.
  • You made a remarkable start. The standard was high. [I was the first presenter.]

You were so fast that I believe it would have been better to be slow in instances where you needed to emphasize points. Use variety on your intonation. Rise and fall of the voice will draw our attention.
