I stumbled by pure kismet upon an outstanding YouTube video of an ESL teacher helping her French student with pronunciation. The video’s appearance in my life, on the very day I put finishing touches on my SIT application, seems to be a mysterious sign, a good omen, possibly  portending I will be admitted by SIT in a few days, and that I will enjoy lifelong success in the field of second-language learning. I can see no other interpretation.

By the end of my studies, I bet I’ll have a pile of references on this site. Thus, it’s symbolic of something, and fitting, that aforeseen linguistic exchange be the first of them.
