I hope I won’t regret having established this special domain name and blog last night. (Another thank you, Jill!) GinnaMA sprung to mind when I considered this transition as one from Ginna the mother to Ginna the MA candidate. Later I learned that in Maidu language, “ma” is a case beginning indicating the future tense. And by the way, did you know that “Ginna” (pronounced “Geena”) in Nepali means “to live”?
This site will be a clearinghouse for references, reflections, contacts and observations as I go about earning a master’s in TESOL from the SIT Graduate Institute in Vermont.
Trouble is, I haven’t been admitted to the program.
After years of pondering this path and visiting the campus last week, I’ve finally decided this is something I really want to pursue. I hope I don’t jinx it with my premature establishment of this blog.
